Back in Eldorado Canyon

7 miles on the Edorado Canyon Trail and another 7.2 miles loop the Walker Ranch Loop Trail (gorgeous!!!) for a grand total of 14.2 miles in something like 6:10. Not exactly swift, but we (fellow pilot John and I) actually set out just to hike it and decided later on we couldn't take going that slow or being out that long, so we did it ultra style. Walk the ups (HAD to, seriously, no choice for me) and jog the flats and downs. About 10 miles in, I really ripped some good running segments on some long gentle downhills that felt great. The last 4 miles was killer to me though. The last few climbs KILLED me and I was chafing by then (compression shorts in the bag in the hotel...I know...stupid!) Anyways, finished in smiles and glad I got to see this trail again!

Next time, if it is warmer, I am going to try to smash that time...I think I can take a good chunk off of it.

.....a runnable grade

That's John there. I don't know if he wants to be blogfamous, so I will just show this one photo...

...a photo taken specifically for Chef Bill. The astute who click on the photo and look will see I am wearing a "Knives and Fire" tech shirt! Thanks Bill. I am going to try to take it all over this world!
